  1. I got a free original Xbox from a coworker a few weeks ago. She said that the hard drive was locked, but I think she got confused because the video cord on the composite cords was damaged, and so nothing displayed on the television. (I did hear audio though.) I got a Xbox to HDMI adapter and removed the disc that was inside the disc drive. It booted up just fine, looks like only a few emulators are on the hard drive so I'll have to add more to it! I need to take it apart and clean it, the fans are quite noisy and I'm sure the thermal paste needs replacing. From what I gather it's a 1.6, so thankfully the clock capacitor shouldn't be leaking but I'll have to see if anything else might be leaking. (Hopefully not because other than it being noisy, the console works fine and reads discs fine too!) I can't wait to start looking into possibly getting a bigger hard drive down the road, and installing a newer mod someday too!
  2. Ooof I forgot about this place. I also forgot to pay my hosting but everything is cool now. xD My day was chill. I've been off work due to all the Covid stuff. I'm off again next week too.
  3. I had a decent day at work today. My printer messed up again though. :V The same thing happened yesterday. The weather was nice too, but it's too bad I couldn't go out and enjoy it. Ah well, this weekend is supposed to be nice. 🙂
  4. Looks like the Series X will be able to quick resume games! This means that if you wanted to pick up where you left off at, you can! Best of all, you can do so with multiple titles, so in a way it works like save states sort of. Here's a tidbit from IGN's article: The Xbox Series X's quick resume feature was confirmed earlier this week but it's now been revealed that it even lets you resume games after rebooting the console.Microsoft's Larry Hryb discussed the feature on the February 26 episode of his Major Nelson podcast with Jason Ronald, the director of program management at Xbox. Ronald explained that the Xbox One already lets you quick resume games you're playing, but says that the SSD of the Xbox Series X lets you do that with multiple titles, instantly jumping between them to pick up right where you left each one. You can read the full article here.
  5. Do you own a custom controller for your Xbox One? I bought one about a year or two ago, it's green with metallic blue bumper buttons and d-pad. The other buttons are black and the A,B,X, and Y buttons are clear. I know many people might find it to be ugly, but it's a combination of my three favorite colors. xD I'll need to find it, and once I do I'll post pictures of it. 🙂

  7. Yeah it started on a Xbox console, but since it's now on pretty much everything I'd figure I would start a topic here. My wife and I just started playing Minecraft for the first time not too long ago, our group of friends who we play D&D with wanted us to play, so they bought us the game on the Xbox One. (I have Game Pass Ultimate of course, so I can play online with other players.) Honestly I tried playing the game a while back and couldn't get into it, but now I find it to be fun. I've only played it a tiny bit here and there, but I'm enjoying it. 🙂
  8. Hey Kyng, great to see you here. 🙂 Feel free to post about other games if you'd like or anything else. 😄 Hope you enjoy your stay here!
  9. I just discovered a new social media platform called Mastodon. It looks like it's a mix of Twitter and Facebook in a way. However, it's completely free, with no ads! Looks much more promising than Facebook, and looks better than Twitter as well. If you haven't checked it out yet, and want to join a social media platform that isn't Facebook nor Twitter, Mastodon is your best choice. 🙂
  10. Does anyone else play Dungeons and Dragons? If so, do you play the table top version or play the board game? Or perhaps you play one of the video games? I've been playing D&D with a group of friends, along with my wife since August. 🙂 My character is named Ryu, and is a human who's about 6 foot tall. He's actually the tallest in our clan, everyone else is smaller than 3 foot. xD Our clan is at level 3, our Dungeon Master doesn't follow the traditional experience rules, she let's us advance a level if we really impress her during a session. xD
  11. As the title asks, which programming languages do you know or would like to learn? I currently know 68k and z80 assembler, some C++, C#, php, python, html, and css. Overall I think Python has the easiest syntax to follow, and it reminds me of Basic. I'm more comfortable using assembler, as it's the language I've messed with the most while rom hacking. I would like to learn more about php, and Python. I've also messed around with Javascript a little bit. I basically forgot all I taught myself though, since I don't program too often. I might start getting back in the groove again though. xD
  12. No sooner than I mentioned that I would like to see this come to the Series X, Square Enix finally released the collection on Xbox One the other day! Also on the 25th, KH 3 will be available via Game Pass too! I'm probably going to play it on Xbox, it's about time these games came out on the Xbox One! https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/02/18/kingdom-hearts-hd-available-now-xbox-one/
  13. Do you use Steam on a regular basis? I have Steam on my gaming laptop and my gaming desktop. The desktop needs to be cleaned, so I haven't used in a long time. Plus it's older than my gaming laptop. I also have a Steam Link, so I can play my Steam games on my tv. I got it back when it went on sale a few years ago. I honestly haven't used it, I tried setting it up once but it didn't work... Maybe I'll give it another try with my laptop this weekend.
  14. I've been wanting to get an original Xbox for a while now, mainly for modding purposes. However, I also want to get some original Xbox games as well too. I don't need to get the Halo games since collections exist for the Xbox One, but if there were any other Xbox exclusives that you can't play on the Xbox One, what games are they? I'd love to hear everyone's input! 🙂
